California Feature: Cinnamon Sugar Halloween Crisps

Ever since Make & Taste started, Jax and I’ve been in the kitchen a TON more…and Jax is loving it! So when I came across this simple and fun recipe I knew he’d be all over it! And he was! I heard “Mommy I wanna do it” from start to finish. Oh, and don’t tell anyone, but “Can I taste?” was also on repeat during this one…those cute little fingers “tasted” the sugar/cinnamon mix one too many times! This one was definitely a fun one because he was able to help with every step of the process.
These are so delicious and quick and easy to make we will probably be making them with our Thanksgiving cookie cut outs, Christmas cut outs and any other holiday I have cut outs for…and maybe some circle and stars on non-holidays! Jax has been asking for them since we gobbled them all up, so I’m thinking my next Halloween batch I’m going to try to color the melted butter orange or maybe black for the bats and cats!

Quick Tip –
1. My cookie cut outs are plastic and I think metal ones would work much easier when cutting out the shapes. We had to press pretty hard to get the plastic ones through the flour tortillas.
