A Long Distance Valentine’s Day Treat: Conversation Heart Sugar Cookies

Let’s face it, living across the country from family can be tough, especially when they have little ones you would love to be able to spend time with.  Thanks to FaceTime, text, email and iCloud photo sharing there are some great ways to bridge the gap.  As I have mentioned in previous posts, my sister has a sweet tooth and leading up to Valentine’s Day one of her favorite treats are the conversation hearts candies.

So this year my toddler and I made her and her family conversation heart sugar cookies and shipped them across the country.  My toddler was excited to make something for his little cousin, aunt and uncle.  I had three sizes of heart shaped cookie cutters, small, medium and a large.  The kit I used (linked here) for the sayings came with the large heart cookie cutter.  The kit was easy to use and was my son’s favorite part of the whole process.  You can really get creative in your sayings too!  So say Happy Valentine’s Day with these creative and fun cookies this year!
