Elevate Your Breakfast: A Classic Dutch Baby Recipe

Classic Dutch Baby Breakfast

Happy Valentine’s Day! What a great way to elevate your morning breakfast or brunch with a classic Dutch Baby.  What is a dutch baby anyway?  Well, imagine the combination of a pancake, popover and crepe, that’s a Dutch Baby.  Baked in a cast iron or metal pan and topped with powdered sugar, this recipe is made in your blender and couldn’t be easier.

My little kitchen helper poured all the ingredients into the blender and 20 seconds later, we had our batter ready to go.  Then the critical step.  The cast iron or metal pan preheats in the oven.  Once the oven hit 425 degrees we were ready to make this over-the-top pancake.  My toddler loved watching the butter sizzle in the pan and was amazed at how the batter transformed into puffy goodness while baking in the oven.  Sprinkle with some powdered sugar once it’s removed from the oven and wow your family members.  You can add toppings such as maple syrup, fruit and maybe a little chocolate.
