It was during strawberry season last year when I started documenting and publishing posts for Make & Taste. One of the first activities that I documented was going strawberry picking with my son. I love picking fresh berries with my little kitchen helper, showing him how and where they grow, and then making a recipe with him using these fresh ingredients. It’s a full circle experience that will allow him to appreciate where his food comes from. We have made so many recipes since Make & Taste was started and even welcomed our first guest contribution. I decided to take a look back at the Make & Taste archives and found five delicious strawberry recipes that have been enjoyed by adults and kids alike. All of these recipes are linked below and include Strawberry Jam, Strawberry Rhubarb Popsicles, Strawberry Buckle Cake Bites, Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp, and Strawberry Lime Popsicles.
Strawberries can be used in so many ways and provide sweet refreshing flavor and a pop of color to recipes. Most little kitchen helpers are also big fans of them, so while you make these recipes make sure you have a side dish of strawberries for snacking. Hopefully you have an opportunity to enjoy some of this season’s berries and can make a few of these recipes with your kitchen helper.
