Sight Word Cookies were inspired by the new little reader in my house. My kitchen helper started Kindergarten this year and has been enjoying all the new math, reading and writing challenges. Once he started showing an interest in reading and working on mastering all his sight words I thought it would be fun to merge the two. These Sight Word Cookies are easy to make and based on my original animal cookie recipe, with one exception, I added a few cinnamon chips into the food processor mix since he loves anything with cinnamon. These cookies were a huge hit. He loved coming up with new words and telling me which letters to use. This will definitely be an activity and recipe we make again. Maybe next time we will be building sentences.
